Binance Blockchain 100 2026: Vote for bonuz's Mende

Binance opened public voting for The Blockchain 100, 2026, its annual list of top crypto community voices. bonuz founder Matthias Mende made the shortlist for Community Influencer of the Year. Everyday wallet users decide the winner, one tap a day, through Binance's own app.

What actually happened

Binance confirmed the shortlist on Binance Square. Every Binance account can vote once a day until polls close. Binance announces winners on 29 October. The top 10 Community Influencers receive invitations to Binance Blockchain Week 2026 in Bangkok. Mende posts daily as Professor Mende to more than 42,500 followers on Binance Square. He won Creator of the Year in 2024, accepted on stage in Dubai, and placed as Industry Advocate in The Blockchain 100, 2025. 'Square became my daily notebook,' he said. 'Both times, you voted me in. Thank you, really.' He has also shipped more than 2.5 million lines of code across bonuz and side projects, by his own git history count.

How we got here

Mende has lived in Dubai since 2007 and co-founded the Dubai Blockchain Center before starting bonuz. His earlier two Binance titles both came from open community votes, not a jury, which is why a loyal daily audience matters here. Since the 2025 nomination, bonuz grew into a system of real-world quests, usable rewards, and one portable bonuz ID. He also released easyBTX, a one-click $BTX miner for Mac and Windows, adding another shipped product to the list instead of just another announcement.

Why this matters for you

For bonuz wallet holders, this vote keeps a builder who explains crypto in plain terms in front of one of the industry's largest audiences. A top-10 finish puts Mende on stage at Blockchain Week in Bangkok, visibility that can lead to partnerships and new quests inside the app. For wallet users generally, the outcome shows whether the community still rewards plain-spoken education and usable tools over market noise. Voting costs nothing, and the daily tap is something any Binance account holder can do.

The bigger question

Can a popularity vote reliably measure who actually grows an industry, or does it mostly reward whoever posts most consistently? As Web3 awards shift from juries toward open community polls, the tension between visibility and genuine impact keeps growing. The answer matters beyond one shortlist. It will shape which builders, educators, and products rise to the top of crypto's biggest stages in 2026 and after.

What to watch

Voting continues daily until polls close, with winners named on 29 October. The top 10 Community Influencers get invited to Binance Blockchain Week 2026 in Bangkok. Mende also speaks at Blockchain Life 2026 in Dubai on 1 and 2 December. bonuz users can follow his daily Binance Square series for updates on the vote.
